Today is the NFP day which was actually quiet than usual, and of course once again, it has everything to do with the U.S election.
The numbers came out as slightly negative than previous and expected, but overall very solid for the employment data.
As there was no deviations so we did not trade; however, the employment datas from CAD had a deviation and we took an intraday trade, unfortunately that trade was loser regardless of the good job datas.
Looking closely, although Canada has a good employment change number, it was mostly from part-time jobs not full-times.
Sentimentally, WTI closed another down day below $45 per barrel, but the selling momentum seems to be paused for a bit.
Equity markets are still down consecutively for 9 days now. We will continue to see it all the way ’til U.S election or even after, if Donald gets elected.
There seems to be another sparring between Saudi and Iran and as mentioned, it is very hard for OPEC to reach any real agreement based on many disagreed issues between members.
