So I literally grew up there, had all my friends there, and started reading the bible as soon as I could read! ✝️ Of course, one of the biggest attractions in church for a young child was beautiful music! 🎹 Even though I’m no longer a religious person, but I still love Christian music so much! If you want to study Western Art, you must study Christianity as well! All the music, paintings, architecture, and literature were created for the gospel and praising God! 👼 Because of that, I particularly love Gospel music and Barqqoues, especially Handel, Vivaldi, and Bach! So I was extremely thrilled to discover Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra in Toronto! www.tafelmusik.org It’s not easy to find a music group that specialized in Baroque music in Toronto, maybe there are a lot of them in Europe, but rarely in this city! I attended the first performance back in 2018 with my mom and was blown away by the quality of this orchestra, especially under the direction of the new music director Elisa Citterio.😀 I attended once more in 2019, and the quality and performance were still one of the greatest! Finally, I went for the Chamber choir a few weeks ago under the director Ivars Taurins with Bach Motet, and this was perhaps one of the most exceptional performances I’ve been to. 🥰 It reminded me so much of my church days. The music was so holy, peaceful, and profound at the same time! With the choir, an organ, and two cellos to accompany the whole performance! I absolutely love it! 👍 If you’re in Toronto, definitely check it out! 👇 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐟𝐚𝐧?
